As scientists, we have the chance to create new knowledge, in addition to that we received through many years of education. I believe that this knowledge should not be restricted to experts sharing our passion, but should be shared whenever the opportunity presents.

From my graduate studies until now, I decided to dedicate some of my time to pass along my passion for insects, and especially for ants, to people around me. My ambition is that this new knowledge about these fascinating creatures will encourage people to realize how diverse life is around them, and that it will encourage them to protect nature and spread the word that insects are cool!

Through invited talks, exhibitions, or the writing of book chapters, I hope to encourage children to consider careers as biologists, and adults to broaden their horizons where nature is concerned.

This is my duty as a scientist and a great source of joy as well.
